Sometimes a question comes in related to finding information about tiers of intervention in high schools. There are a few examples I really like.
I really like this example of PBIS and RtI in high school settings (great practical examples at the end of the paper) http://www.betterhighschools.org/pubs/documents/HSTII_LessonsLearned.pdf
Also, Matt Burns recently held an online forum about intensive interventions for all students. This was really well done. http://rtinetwork.org/learn/rti-in-secondary-schools/rti-literacy-secondary-schools
Also, this may be helpful as well. Kathleen Lane is wonderful and her work really informs the field.
Lane, K.L., Wendy P.O., Ennis, R. P., and Hirsch, S. E. (2014). Identifying students for secondary and tertiary prevention efforts: How do we determine which students have tier 2 and tier 3 needs?.” Preventing School Failure: Alternative Education for Children and Youth 58, no. 3 (2014): 171-182. This should connect you with the article: http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/1045988X.2014.895573#.VFOvIvnF-So
Also, we wrote an article about this a few years ago. It may be useful..
Bohanon, H., Fenning, P. Eber, L. & Flannery, B., (2007). Identifying a roadmap of support for secondary students: School-wide positive behavior support applications, International Journal of Special Education, 22 (1), 39-60. (link to file: http://www.internationalsped.com/documents/4%20Raver.doc)
If I see other resources, I will send them your way! Do you have any resources you have found useful for tiered supports in secondary settings?
